What is an Infrared sauna?

An Infrared sauna is a type of sauna that heats your body up differently than a traditional sauna. Infrared saunas use Infrared waves to heat your body from the inside out rather than heating up the air. This method of heating the body is more efficient as the heat penetrates deeper into the body quicker. This type of sauna also allows the air to be at a more manageable temperature while in the sauna since your body is the target of the heat, not the air. Many people find this more comfortable and report that breathing is much easier in an infrared sauna.

What is Infrared?

Infrared saunas use infrared waves which are not too much different from visible light. If you think back to science class you may remember seeing the light spectrum with visible light being a very small part of the whole spectrum. Infrared is on that spectrum and right next to visible light. There are 3 types of Infrared waves, far, mid, and near. Far infrared waves are the farthest from visible light and most commonly used for health and wellness.
